Job summary

LAZ Parking seeks a Senior Bus Maintenance Technician (A Level) to diagnose and repair diesel, CNG, gasoline, and EV powertrains for a large DFW fleet and to mentor junior technicians. The role requires experience with heavy transit systems, certifications, and a safety-first attitude.

Expect leadership opportunities and ongoing training within EcoFleet’s maintenance division. The position reports to the Assistant General Manager – DFW Maintenance Division and involves collaboration with airport

Qualifications

• ASE certifications: two or more of H-series (Transit Bus) or T-series (Medium/Heavy Truck) required; ASE Master (H or T) preferred.
• EV high-voltage/hybrid powertrain experience preferred; CNG fuel system certification strongly preferred.
• Cummins ISB engine and Allison transmission diagnostic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repair of diesel, CNG, gasoline, and EV powertrains, air brake systems, suspensions, HVAC, aftertreatment/exhaust, and multiplexed electrical systems.
• Lead root-cause repair on repeat failures to ensure buses return to service properly.
• Perform DOT/TxDMV inspections and PM inspections to LAZ/EcoFleet and airport standards.
• Operate vehicle lifts, tire changing and balancing equipment, and shop tools safely.
• Document repairs using Fleetio, and coordinate with parts staff and external suppliers as needed.
• Mentor B- and C-level technicians and provide feedback to management to improve procedures.
