Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Senior Consulting Technologist based in Marshfield, WI, supporting laboratories within the Sanford Health-Marshfield Region. You will consult on transfusion services technical and regulatory issues, build client relationships, and work with enterprise committees to standardize processes across designated laboratories.

You may travel to laboratories as needed; a robust knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and accreditation requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science is required.
• Five years’ laboratory experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory, with leadership or consulting experience.
• Must be registered as MT/MLS by ASCP or equivalent; ND licensure if working in North Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Consult and provide guidance on transfusion services technical and regulatory issues for laboratories in designated territory.
• Collaborate with enterprise laboratory committees and client list to achieve standardized process improvements.
• Assist leadership to prepare for inspections related to CAP, CLIA, COLA, AABB, Joint Commission and others as applicable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science

Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

ND licensure (if applicable)
