Advocates Legal Recruiting partners with a top AmLaw 100 client to hire a senior transactional tax associate. The role sits on a national team handling high‑volume, high‑value deals across domestic and cross‑border M&A, partnership tax planning, and sponsor‑side work.

You will run point on transactional tax matters across deals while collaborating with deal teams and business principals, with real responsibility and direct deal exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of law firm experience focused on transactional tax.
• Comfort advising deal teams and business principals, not just drafting memos after the fact.
• Experience across M&A, partnership structures, and sponsor-side work is strongly preferred.
• Bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Lead transactional tax across domestic and cross-border M&A.
• Advise on partnership tax planning and fund formation.
• Support capital markets and financing transactions.
