Job summary

Veeco's Somerset operation seeks a Senior Trainer, Manufacturing Operations, to design and implement a level-based qualification system for technicians across Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Final Test. The role improves troubleshooting, readiness, and equipment uptime for ion beam deposition and related processes.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of semiconductor equipment assembly, integration, startup, testing, and qualification.
• Experience creating training content, work instructions, and certification criteria.
• Ability to translate field issues into structured training objectives and assessments.
• Experience building level-based qualification programs for manufacturing techs.
• Strong classroom and on-the-floor coaching skills with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Build and continuously improve a level-based training and certification program.
• Qualify technicians for assembly, integration, test, and troubleshooting.
• Translate field failures into realistic simulations and updated training content.
• Create platform-specific learning paths covering vacuum, gas delivery, RF, plasma, and power systems.
• Develop trainers and coach technicians to expand cross-training while ensuring safety.
