Job summary

DiPietro Recruiting & Consulting is seeking a Senior Traffic/ITS Engineer to lead multimodal transportation projects in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The role manages projects, develops plans, and communicates with clients and authorities.

The position requires 10+ years of traffic engineering experience, PE in the region, and PTOE certification, with hybrid work options from Wilmington or Dover offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant traffic engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in DE, PA and/or MD.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
• Experience with DelDOT, PennDOT, and MDOT agencies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of traffic and transportation engineers.
• Deliver high-quality products and services within established schedules and budgets.
• Create and update a complete project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Communicate with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Define new business opportunities and present to Director of Traffic Engineering.
• Advocate for additional projects, and offer clients solutions.
• Use traffic engineering software and client systems.
