WSP USA is seeking a Lead Consultant - Traffic Engineer to work from the Herndon-VA or Washington-DC area. You will lead traffic projects from concept to final design, developing traffic control plans and performing operations and safety studies.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 7+ years of experience, and PE or ability to obtain in six months, along with hands-on use of MicroStation and traffic software such as SignCAD, HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and ArcGIS.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
7+ years of related engineering experience required.
VA PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
Experience with traffic control device design including signing, pavement markings, signals, lighting, and ITS design required.
Experience with ATMS and ATC including Concept of Operations development.
Experience with traffic safety, operations and capacity analyses, signal optimization, corridor studies and traffic simulation modeling.
Proficiency with CADD software (MicroStation) and traffic engineering tools (SignCAD, HCS, Synchro/Sim Traffic, VISSIM, ArcGIS).

Mansioni

Serve as Project Lead for design, management and delivery of traffic engineering projects.
Develop concept-level to final design traffic control device plans for construction/advertisement.
Perform traffic operations/safety/capacity studies.
