Job summary

Horrocks is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to plan, manage, and deliver complex transportation projects focused on ITS, traffic signals, and roadway lighting. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers.

In this Utah-based role, you will collaborate directly with public agencies and clients, ensure compliance with standards, and drive high-quality traffic engineering solutions across Western offices as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to plan, manage, and deliver complex transportation projects with a focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic signals, and roadway lighting. This role is suited for a seasoned professional who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style to multidisciplinary project teams.

The Senior Traffic Engineer will serve as a project manager and technical leader, working directly with clients and public agencies while guiding internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and effective traffic engineering solutions.

This position will primarily support our Utah offices but will have opportunities to support other offices throughout the western United States.
