Job summary

LJB Inc. in Ohio seeks an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to support and grow our Transportation Practice in one of our Ohio offices (Dayton, Cleveland, or Columbus). You will lead traffic studies, design signal systems, manage client relationships, and contribute to sales efforts while delivering safe, efficient transportation solutions.

This role requires a civil engineering degree, a P.E. license, 7–15 years of experience, and proficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• P.E. license required.
• 7 to 15 years' experience.
• Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM, AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual.
• Preferred: PTOE license.
• Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD.
• Experience with OH municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Traffic impact studies.
• Traffic operations analyses.

• Signal system design and timing plans.
• Maintenance of traffic, pavement markings and signage.
• Highway lighting design and corridor studies.
• Balance design work with sales support and client management.
• Occasional site visits and progress reporting.
