Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Midwest transportation team. The role leads traffic design projects, safety evaluations, and multimodal facility analysis for state and local clients.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in traffic engineering, a PE license in MO/KS/NE or the ability to obtain it within six months, and PTOE/RSP certifications are preferred. Salary starts at $140,000+ depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; Master’s is a plus.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in MO, KS, and NE or ability to obtain within six months.
• PTOE and/or RSP Levels 1 or 2 certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in traffic engineering and design.
• Proficiency with Synchro, VISSIM, GIS, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage traffic design and traffic operation projects.
• Provide design oversight for roadway lighting, signing, pavement markings, traffic signals, and ITS.
• Develop technical traffic analyses for highways, streets and multimodal facilities.
• Oversee MOT sequencing and traffic control plans; ensure QA/QC.
