Job summary

Rick Engineering Company (RICK) seeks a confident Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic Division in San Diego. The role focuses on municipal traffic engineering, plans, analyses, and client coordination for landmark San Diego region projects.

Qualified candidates will have a BSCE, CA PE, and 4–5 years’ traffic engineering experience, plus leadership skills and Southern California familiarity. The position offers a full-time on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree and CA PE registration required.
• Minimum 4–5 years in traffic engineering or 9–10 years in the industry.
• 3+ years of management supervising traffic designers/cad drafters/technicians.
• Experience in Southern California and San Diego County preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide municipal traffic engineering services incl. traffic plans and analyses.
• Prepare Traffic Impact Analyses and related studies/reports.
• Collaborate with clients and public agencies on projects.
