Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer for its Cranberry Township, Homestead, or Southpointe offices in PA. The role requires leading traffic tasks with complex features, MAJOR modeling, and collaboration with PennDOT and PA Turnpike teams.

Presence and leadership across multiple project teams are essential. Qualified candidates will have a PE license, 15+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or better in Engineering.
• Experience 15+ years.
• PTOE desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Possesses exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• MicroStation computer-aided design skills required, OpenRoads Designer experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production and checking of technical traffic reports, design plans, design calculations, specifications, and cost opinions.
• Perform traffic modeling and analysis using Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic; traffic signal design and signing/pavement marking design; and traffic control designs.
