Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• P.E. license.
• 7 to 15 years' experience.
• Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM, AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to support and grow our Transportation Practice in one of our Ohio offices (Dayton, Cleveland, or Columbus). Traffic Engineer Essential Functions

• Traffic impact studies
• Traffic operations analyses
• Safety studies
• Signal system design
• Signal timing plans
• Maintenance of traffic
• Pavement markings and signage
• Highway lighting design
• Corridor studies
• Willing to balance performing design work and assisting in sales efforts
• Project/task and client management
• Maintain client relationships
• Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings
• Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site
• Occasional travel may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Traffic Engineer Essential Credentials

• Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• P.E. license.
• 7 to 15 years' experience.
• Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM,AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual.

Preferred Qualifications

• PTOE license
• Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD
• Experience with ODOT and/or OH municipalities.

• Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with a group of traffic, transportation, and site/civil engineers
• Ability to mentor, direct activities and supervise work of other engineers
• Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution
• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiencyAbility to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations
