Job summary

Picarro, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive hardware, firmware, and cloud software programs. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, marketing, and operations to plan, manage schedules, and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes delivering integrated systems with strong project governance, agile coordination, and supplier relationship management, with onsite work and a focus on high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• BS in Physics, Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in Program/Project Management for integrated hardware, firmware and cloud software.
• 3+ years PM experience for scientific/analytical instrumentation products.
• Proficient with high-level PM tools and dashboards.
• Experience coordinating Marketing, Engineering, and Operations.
• Experience in NPI and manufacturing hand-off processes.
• Experience managing supplier relationships through product lifecycle.
• Familiarity with EVT/DVT/PVT and agile development for data analytics/cloud software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of instrumentation/spectrometry/gas sensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware, firmware, and software program planning on annual/quarterly cycles.
• Manage programs with engineering managers and leads across lifecycle stages.
• Define scope, allocate resources, set milestones, and manage commitments.
• Lead delivery of complex hardware, firmware and software on schedule.
• Collaborate with supply chain to mitigate long lead component risks.
• Coordinate with vendors during design, development, testing, validation, and sustainment.
• Lead cross-functional teams, run scrums, remove blockers.
• Identify process improvements and drive initiatives.
• Report progress to managers and executives with transparency.
• Coordinate cloud software releases and manufacturing handoffs with product/ops.
