Job summary

Google in San Francisco seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering programs in Data Center Planning (DCP). You will plan requirements with internal customers and drive projects through the full lifecycle, coordinating schedules, risks, and trade-offs with engineers and executives.

As part of the DCP team, you will shape long-range capacity, run scenario analyses, and work with partners to automate workflows and improve power and space efficiency across fleets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role with/without direct reports.
• Experience planning data center infrastructure.
• Experience using data analytics to derive insights and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of program managers and data analysts.
• Own and direct the Alphabet-wide TPU and GPU DC plan of record. Lead in-depth capacity modeling, scenario analysis, and trade-off frameworks under tight resource constraints.
• Serve as cross-DCP lead for ML trade-off decisions, executive escalations, and priority balancing.
• Drive strategic initiatives for DCP planning & system enhancement and workflow automation in collaboration with engineering partners.
• Lead effort to codify technical and business requirements across Google product areas, bridging demand intent with physical supply execution.
