Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer for the Touch Technology team in Austin, TX. You will own validation/test efforts for analog, mixed-signal, and sensor products, developing models and architectures to drive test systems and product quality.

You will collaborate with firmware, software, hardware, and reliability groups to define strategies and deliverables. The role requires a BS with 10+ years of experience (MS/PhD preferred), proficiency in Matlab/Python, and strong data analysis

Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Experience owning validation/test efforts on analog, mixed-signal or sensor products.

Responsibilities

Define and architect solutions to solve complex open ended test and validation problems.
Develop analytical models to understand test system interaction with Touch sensors.
Lead cross-functional teams to convert validation plans into executable actions.
Design metrics and figures-of-merit to guide touch design and performance tracking.
Lead development and execution of validation methodologies across Apple products.
Architect and design HW & SW infrastructure for innovative test solutions.
Manage vendors for validation tools and infrastructure.
Perform failure mode analysis to drive root cause diagnosis.
Author reports detailing concepts, results and checkpoints.
Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
