Job summary

Slate in the United States is seeking a senior Torque Control Calibrations Engineer to join the Propulsion Systems team. You will calibrate pedal responses, torque shaping, cruise control, and braking torque interfaces for production vehicles.

The role requires a BS in mechanical/electrical engineering, 5+ years in propulsion calibration, and experience with DVP&R across the product life cycle. Hybrid or electrification calibration experience is a plus, with strong communication and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years in relevant experience (propulsion controls, calibration, and/or testing).
• Ability to review software documents to learn and understand software.
• Hybrid or electrification calibration experience.
• Demonstrated experience with calibration and DVP&R through the complete product cycle.
• Experience in problem solving.
• Strong technical research and writing skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• 10 years of experience preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Integrate key parts of the software and calibrate various parts for the production vehicle.
• Prototype and production intent vehicle calibration and support.
• Translate vehicle requirements into development and testing plans.
• Coordinate with SLATE suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure launch.
• Define, execute and supervise design verification plans (DVP) and reporting.
• Support production ramp and field issue resolution.
• Provide program deliverables on time per milestones.
• Calibration change management and documentation.
• Execute programs meeting performance, drivability and customer satisfaction.
