Job summary

Viant Medical seeks a skilled CNC machinist to join its Massachusetts manufacturing team. You will produce precision parts on manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and wire EDM while complying with QMS and FDA requirements.

Focus is on quality, problem solving, GD&T, and collaboration with engineers. Proficiency in SolidWorks and MasterCAM is valued; on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC machinist experience.
• Complete working knowledge of both manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and wire EDM machines.
• Understanding of metals machining, processing, and finishing.
• Ability to inspect complex products using industry-appropriate methods.
• Good understanding of GD&T.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• Proficient in MasterCAM.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Viant Core Beliefs and safety/quality requirements including QMS/EMS/FDA regulations and company policies.
• Create fixtures, tools, and gaging using manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and Wire EDM.
• Support NPI production by identifying best manufacturing processes and inspection methods.
• Review and disposition product based on quality standards.
• Review, create, and revise CAD models and CAM programs.
• Support manufacturing engineers on projects and initiatives.
• Assist in training production workforce on equipment setup and use.
• Perform other functions to support the business.
