Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an Engineer Energetics Manufacturing (Level 2) or Principal Engineer Energetics Manufacturing (Level 3) to join a Promontory, UT team. Responsibilities include tooling concept development, design, fabrication support, and collaboration with internal customers.

The role emphasizes manufacturing process improvement, supplier coordination, and structural stress analysis to meet program requirements. U.S. Citizenship and security clearance are considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in STEM with required years of experience.
• Experience with tooling and aerospace part production.
• Familiarity with FE analysis practices and ANSYS preferred.
• Solid modeling experience with NX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with review team to assure customer satisfaction with design.
• Manage projects and coordinate procurements and fabrication to meet cost/schedule.
• Inspect fabricated tooling to ensure design compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Develop tooling concepts and improve manufacturing processes.
• Work with tool designers to finalize drawings.
• Perform stress analysis per NG requirements.
• Review drawings for manufacturability.
• Support vendors during fabrication.
