Job summary

Mason is seeking a skilled Tool Maker in Chicago, Illinois. As part of the Toolroom team, you will operate conventional lathes, mills, grinders, and advanced CNC machines to achieve precise tolerances. You will be involved in programming and preparing work for EDM and CNC machines, while also assisting with production issues.

The ideal candidate has experience in tool and die fabrication, machining, and must be able to work effectively with engineering designs. This is a first shift position offering competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience with conventional machining tools: lathes, mills, grinders.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of heat treating processes.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair production tooling.
• Sharpen and adjust dies, create new punches.
• Maintain tool heat treating standards.
