Job summary

Element Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Tool & Die Machinist in Itasca, IL. The role focuses on planning, fabricating, and repairing tools and dies with precision using CNC and traditional equipment.

You will review specs, verify dimensions with precision instruments, and work with Production and Engineering to optimize die setup and cycle times. A strong safety mindset and quality focus are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experienced machinist/toolmaker or completed apprenticeship/technical cert.
At least five years related experience or equivalent combo.
Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

Review blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications to plan machining operations.
Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Interpret dimensions, tolerances, and sizes per design specs.
Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools.
Run tool and die tests and adjust as needed.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to reduce setup time.
