Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a division of Element Solutions Inc., is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Machinist in the Itasca, IL area. The role focuses on interpreting blueprints, setting up CNC and conventional machines, and ensuring high-precision tool and die production.

The ideal candidate has five+ years of experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid safety mindset. You will collaborate with the Production and Engineering teams to optimize set-up times and maintain quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed apprenticeship or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and hands-on training.
• Commitment to safety and following manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specs to plan machining operations.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC tools to required tolerances.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Perform tool and die adjustments and test runs to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to reduce setup times.
• Follow SOPs and OSHA standards; maintain accurate production data.
