Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/Planning professional to join our North Region. You will perform Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies, potentially lead projects, and ensure rigorous QA/QC of outputs.

We value strong analytical writing, presentations to large groups, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating project teams across client engagements. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
• AICP, PTP, PE, CEP or approved certification in a related field.
• 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years with Master's degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies throughout the North Region, including potentially being the Project Technical Leader for Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling Projects.
• Executing Advanced Data Analysis: Analyzing large data sets in support of Traffic and Revenue studies and Demand Management studies, as well as in support of highway planning projects more broadly.
• Performing overall task management, and QA/QC procedures.
• Being responsible for coordination and management of the technical content of projects including driving the technical vision of the end product, ensuring the technical accuracy of the work product, ensuring the right technical skill sets are on the project at the correct time, developing and mentoring technical project staff, and coordinating all aspects of the project with our clients.
• Being a mentor for junior staff by providing thorough editing of draft documents and QA/QC of deliverables.
