The Sunshine Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and maintain a positive classroom environment. You will supervise assistants, encourage positive child guidance, and build strong relationships with students and families.

You will ensure licensing compliance, maintain cleanliness and records, and support the Director with program improvements and safety. Montana location; on-site role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 on The Practitioner Registry or 2+ years of early childhood experience in a licensed program or CDA/BA/AS in ECD.
• Current CPR/AED and infant choking response, plus standard and pediatric first aid.
• Complete facility overview training and stay on The Sunshine Academy Registry.
• Able to lift 45 pounds and maneuver between floor levels safely.
• Demonstrate good moral character and effective communication with children and adults.

• Supervise assistant teachers and floaters, and support positive guidance of children.
• Foster relationships with families, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain safety.
• Oversee records, cleanliness, and daily class schedules; provide feedback to the Director.
