Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a hands-on software engineer for full-stack development, focusing on Python, TypeScript, React, and Go. You will own large PostgreSQL databases and help maintain AWS-backed infrastructure to support the Threat Intelligence team.

Collaborate with threat intelligence stakeholders and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. You will contribute to CI/CD, observability, and operational health across services.

Qualifications

• Substantive Python experience in production environments.
• PostgreSQL experience is required.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure management experience (EC2, RDS, VPC) and related services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications and backend services using Python, TypeScript, React, and Go.
• Own and manage large SQL databases backing applications used by Threat Intelligence.
• Identify reliability, performance, and correctness issues; improve runbooks, dashboards, and alerting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and threat intel stakeholders to deliver actionable intelligence.
