Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Penetration Tester III-level Threat Emulation SME to lead offensive security operations for a federal agency. The role includes running the full kill chain, developing exploits and emulations, and providing threat intelligence and reporting to leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of cyber offensive experience, TS/SCI eligibility, and proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Rust, with strong analytic and communication skills for senior stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber offensive ops, red team, or penetration testing is required.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility is required.
• Strong analytical and technical skills in cyber defense operations.
• Ability to develop rules, filters, signatures, and scripts to support defense efforts.
• Experience with threat intelligence or security incident reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute offensive security activities across the kill chain from initial access to final reporting.
• Develop targeted exploits and benign malware for threat emulation.
• Write custom scripts and tools to simulate attacker behavior and test defenses.
• Produce and brief threat emulation findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with other Agency offices to access information sources for emulation activities.
