Job summary

Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) to lead and enhance oversight of vendor risk across the firm. You will drive risk-based assessments, collaborate with Legal, Cybersecurity, Compliance and Finance, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Role demands strong risk management experience in regulated environments, leadership, and the ability to navigate complex vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in vendor management, risk management or internal audit.
• 2+ years in a highly regulated financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, regulations and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Professional certifications such as CTPRP or CRVPM are desirable.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute a robust third-party risk management framework to assess, monitor and mitigate vendor risks.
• Follow risk assessment methodologies to evaluate vendors by criticality, compliance, cybersecurity and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with Legal, Cybersecurity, Compliance and Finance to ensure a holistic risk approach.
• Drive risk assessments to completion and address contracting obstacles with third parties.
• Ensure due diligence is completed before agreement signatures and alignment with Schwab policies.
