Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead the thermal design and analysis for satellite payloads and integrated in-space systems. You will ensure reliable performance in LEO, guiding cross-disciplinary design across payload, mechanical, avionics, and power subsystems.

The role requires building detailed thermal models using Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, or ANSYS Icepak, defining interfaces, and driving manufacturability for space hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 7+ years of aerospace thermal engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal design & analysis for satellite payloads and high-power electronics.
• Develop detailed thermal models covering conduction, radiation, and convection.
• Define thermal interfaces and manage radiators, loop heat pipes, and cold plates.
• Perform transient and steady-state analyses for mission profiles and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with payload, mechanical, power, and systems teams to integrate thermal constraints.
