Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 4 years of experience as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist credential.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced recreational therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans.
• Assists leadership in identifying gaps and opportunities for professional development and performance activities.
• Assists with interviewing, orienting, training, and supervising team members.
• Performs advanced recreational therapy services to patients per standards and policies.
• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized treatment plans addressing physical, cognitive, psychological, and leisure needs.
• Records patient evaluations and care provided in the medical record.
• Informs patients, families, and team members of evaluation results and treatment plans.
• Plans and provides therapy education and counseling to individuals.
• Participates in student training and supervision.
• Ensures safe, patient-centered care and excellent customer service.
• Collaborates with leadership on program development and performance improvement.
• Assists leadership with staffing decisions and equipment procurement.
• Mentors clinical team members and supports professional development.
• Supports open and goal-oriented work environment with clear procedures and productivity standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
