Job Description

IS4S seeks a Senior Test Engineer to oversee testing and validation of energetic systems. The candidate should have a deep understanding of safety regulations and experience managing testing of energetic materials and formulations. The role involves designing, conducting, and analyzing testing protocols for energetic products, ensuring safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Expertise in testing methodologies for high energy materials, explosives, and propulsion systems in laboratory and field settings is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for energetic formulations.
2. Ensure detailed test plans and protocols are well documented.
3. Develop testing strategies for performance and safety validation.
4. Ensure compliance with OP-5 safety regulations during testing.
5. Manage laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
6. Analyze testing data to validate product quality and safety.
7. Identify trends and discrepancies; generate reports for internal teams, stakeholders, and regulators.
8. Evaluate and improve testing procedures, methodologies, and equipment for better accuracy, efficiency, safety.

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of OP-5: Ammunition and Explosives Safety Ashore.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering with 15+ years of energetics testing experience.
• Expertise in testing energetic materials, explosives, propellants, high energy systems.
• Proficiency with advanced test equipment.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and statistical analysis.
• Deep understanding of safety protocols for hazardous and high-risk tests.
• Security Clearance: SECRET; TS if necessary.

Desired Experience

• Expertise in safety standards for energetic materials.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or energetics fields.
