Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–5+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Proven experience performing complex troubleshooting, failure analysis, and test development.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical problem-solving efforts.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and test systems.
  • Ability to work in conditions requiring frequent hand/eye coordination and occasional lifting or equipment operation.
  • Comfortable working in environments that may include biohazard exposure.
  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment with strict documentation and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced-level technical expertise in electronics, life science, chemistry, mechanics, or software.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional knowledge and integrate concepts across multiple disciplines.
  • Use and may optimize computer applications and systems within functional areas.
  • Develop and utilize advanced tools, scripts, or data analysis methods to support testing activities.
  • Lead and execute non-routine, highly complex assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluate and improve established procedures, recommending and implementing enhancements.
  • Exercise independent judgment to determine best methods, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Read, interpret, and train others on manuals, test procedures, and equipment documentation.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and complex test procedures; provide guidance to others.
  • Author and maintain detailed technical procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) in specialized equipment, tools, and test methods.
  • Apply statistical, mathematical, and analytical techniques to drive data-based decisions.
  • Perform advanced failure analysis to component level, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead complex testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting efforts across products or systems.
  • Design and execute experimental test plans to evaluate new or modified products.
  • Partner with Engineering to support design validation, new product introduction (NPI), and test optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to Test Technicians and junior staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory (FDA) requirements.
