Job summary

Gavial Engineering & Manufacturing seeks a Senior Test Technician to conduct electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to verify performance and diagnose failures. You will collaborate with engineers to define test approaches, fixtures, and procedures.

The role emphasizes device-level troubleshooting, generating test data, and interfacing with internal and external customers to explain results.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED with 15 years related experience and/or training, or
• 2-year Electronics/technical degree with 10+ years experience, or
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering/Electronics with 5+ years related experience, or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in developing test procedures and processes.
• Review test procedures and diagrams to determine fixtures and testing setup.
• Procure new test equipment when needed and generate SOPs.
• Perform internal certifications and calibrations of test equipment per procedures.
• Test functional performance under defined environmental conditions with standard instruments.
• Record data, compare to specs, and generate Non-Conformance Reports.
