GFT USA Inc. seeks Senior Test Specialist (NY, NY) to own the test plan and strategy and be fully accountable for the end-to-end software solutions/products for customers in the banking industry. Act as trusted advisor to the customer, applying technical and client knowledge to design and improve the solution. Manage people on a project-basis, ensuring technical expertise and managing their career development. Manage customer issues for escalation as necessary. Identify business opportunities with the client and contribute to the sales process from a technical perspective. Possess decision making authority that impacts the success of the product and solution. Build consensus between various internal and stakeholders. Manage a team of testing/quality professionals, ensuring the teams’ expertise grows in line with customer requirements, coaching and mentoring employees towards development goals. Own the end-to-end test strategy across multiple streams, understanding the customers’ needs and collaborating with multiple areas of the business to meet their requirements. Manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure testing is being represented in customer and internal decision making on projects and proposals. Support the development of technical pre-sales pitches, analyze clients’ needs, estimate costs, prepare proposals, and support pre-sales activity. Oversee quality across multiple projects and identify and document any risks to the solution in view of the project scope and manage proactively. Produce internal thought leadership and contribute to external marketing in order to transfer knowledge and build awareness of testing. Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and to the customer. Act as a single point of contact for all testing activity for a project/customer.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field.**
**Employer will accept Associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field and two (2) of years of experience in meeting the Bachelor requirement.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in software development as a Test Lead or closely related position within the banking or financial technology industries. Experience must include: Defining test methodologies and test processes; Developing test policies and test strategies documents; Utilizing maturity testing models to improve testing process; Providing reporting for project and C-level stakeholders; Working on technical pre-sales process, including cost estimation; Working on testing staff allocation forecasting and tracking; Managing Quality Assurance teams; Working with functional testing automation for front-end, mobile and API applications; Utilizing performance testing tools; Working with testing lifecycle and defect management tools; Utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies; Working with version control tools; Planning and performing requirement analysis, test cases design and test execution; Performing training in the testing area; and, Mentoring other professionals in the testing subject.
Required certifications:
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Analyst and/or Test Manager.
IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering.
This role can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. eastern time zone.
Number of reports is project dependent. No more than 10 reports per project.
