Job summary

The Boeing Company in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Test Program Manager for Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) to lead test operations, manage labs, and coordinate with the C-17 Avionics organization on future capabilities.

The role will oversee 45–60 staff, develop BOEs, negotiate with customers including the USAF, drive lab excellence, and manage budgets and risks. Domestic travel may be required; US citizenship and clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Test and Evaluation Engineering.
• Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
• Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
• Leads and manages strategic plans and roadmaps, technology and capital investments, skill development, design practices and process development, work placement, industry bench-marking, implementing best practices and test infrastructure optimization.
