Boeing’s Space Launch System Core Stage production and functional testing at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida is seeking a Senior Level Test & Evaluation Engineer. You will be part of the Production Test Team, developing detailed test procedures and calibration solutions to ensure flight-critical reliability.

You will review data, guide test hardware and methods, and mentor teammates while communicating results to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting tests in a lab, testing, or production environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics/Electrical Systems and/or Propulsion, Fluid Dynamics, Leak Testing or Pneumatic Panel Operations.
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.

Boeing’s Space Launch System Core Stage production and functional testing at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida is looking for a Senior Level Test & Evaluation Engineer to join their team. This role will be part of the Production Test Team that is testing and verifying our products to ensure the ultimate safety for human spaceflight.

This effort includes the expansion of the test team to KSC, Florida. The Production Test Team does significant amounts of testing on the propulsion and hydraulic systems ensuring the proper build of the rocket, as well as functional testing of the flight avionics and instrumentation.

Come join a great team at the Kennedy Space Center in the VAB where the Space Launch System Engine Section is being built and the entire Core Stage will be integrated and tested for flight. Be part of the team testing "America's Rocket".

Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience conducting tests in a lab, testing, or production environment
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics/Electrical Systems and/or Propulsion, Fluid Dynamics, Leak Testing or Pneumatic Panel Operations
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Level 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 9 + years of experience in space-based Avionics/Electrical Systems, and/or Propulsion system testing and/or Hypergolic systems
  • 9 + years of experience with leak testing or operation of pneumatic panels
  • Experience with guiding and setting priorities for the team
  • Experience with NASA customer
  • Experience as a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE)

Summary pay range

Level 4: $126,650-$171,350

Level 5: $154,700-$209,300
