Job summary

Battelle, a leader in research and mission-focused engineering, seeks a Senior Test Engineer to support development, integration, test, and evaluation of complex capabilities for government and mission-focused customers. The role validates performance across hardware, software, sensors, networks, and data systems in lab, field, and distributed environments.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ years, or PhD, or equivalent
• Up to 7 years of related experience depending on contract or business need
• Experience supporting test engineering, systems integration, verification & validation, or operational test activities
• Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, and data collection methods
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and obtain/maintain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, cases, and scenarios for complex systems in lab, field, and distributed environments
• Support prototype, pilot, experimentation, developmental, and operational test events
• Define objectives, success criteria, instrumentation needs, data collection methods, and pass/fail measures
• Verify performance of hardware, software, sensors, networks, and data systems against requirements
• Conduct pre-test planning, execution, troubleshooting, post-test analysis, and lessons learned
