Job summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience building and executing automated tests for power electronics and renewable energy systems. You will develop test capability for PV, BESS, PCS, inverters, DC/DC converters, and grid-connected equipment using LabVIEW and Python to automate complex electrical tests.

You will integrate laboratory instruments, validate performance, support safety and certification activities, and drive design verification and reliability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and executing automated tests for power electronics and renewable energy systems.
• Proficient with LabVIEW and Python to automate complex electrical tests.
• Experience supporting safety and compliance certification and reliability testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and debug automated test systems using LabVIEW and Python for power electronics and energy storage products.
• Create reusable test frameworks, instrument drivers, sequence control, data logging, reporting, and automatic pass/fail evaluation.
• Interface with laboratory equipment through SCPI, VISA, Ethernet, USB, serial, CAN, and other protocols.
• Develop repeatable, traceable test scripts and procedures for engineering validation and production use.
• Manage test software revisions, calibration records, test configurations, and measurement-system documentation.
• Develop and execute tests for PV inverters, PCS, DC/DC converters, and grid-connected systems; characterize efficiency and dynamic response.
• Configure PV simulators and grid simulators; operate battery simulators and programmable loads.
• Define safe test setups, grounding, interlocks, and measurement uncertainty considerations.
