Job summary

Allient Inc. in Dayton, Ohio seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead development of a cost-effective test strategy for high-quality products and streamlined manufacturing. You will explore new test technologies and reduce technical debt while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams to build and validate test systems, designing equipment, and writing test software in C/C++, LabVIEW, Visual BASIC, and CAD-enabled documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
8+ years of experience; transitioning products from prototype to production.
Design and programming experience.
Solid computer skills include Visual BASIC, LabVIEW, C/C++, and CAD.

Responsibilities

Coordinates cross-functional teams in the creation, implementation & validation of complete test systems.
Explores new test technologies where appropriate.
Ensures test assets are leveraged to achieve testing outcomes.
Mentors Test Engineers and Test Technicians to standardize practices.
Prepares test equipment quotations based on strategies and specs.
Produces test equipment specifications for performance, time, and design commonality.
Collaborates with Design Engineering on test specifications using failure, OE, Warranty data.
Designs, builds and commissions equipment to high standards with team support.
Prepares technical equipment design files including drawings and test results.
Writes test software to industry standards ensuring test system and product integrity.
