Job summary

DirectPath Recruiting Services, partnering with a leading electronics manufacturer in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Test Engineer II to join our engineering team. You will work hands-on with automated test systems, ICT/EOLT, PCB troubleshooting, test software, and data analysis to improve manufacturing testing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with ICT/EOLT systems and PCB-level troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Python, LabVIEW, CVI, or Visual C.
• Experience developing test automation, data analysis, and manufacturing support applications using Python and/or C#.
• Working knowledge of MySQL database design, queries, and data management.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience with soldering and rework of through-hole and SMD components.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain automated test software, hardware, fixtures, and equipment.
• Support the implementation, integration, and upgrades of ICT and EOLT test systems.
• Develop test applications, automation scripts, and data-analysis tools using Python and C#.
• Build and maintain MySQL databases for test data storage, retrieval, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot PCBs down to the component level.
• Maintain and repair test fixtures and equipment to ensure test accuracy and equipment uptime.
• Lead small-scale test engineering and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to improve test efficiency and system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
