Job summary

TTM Technologies in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a Test Engineer to lead the development, test, and integration of electronic test equipment and TPSs for production hardware. You will work closely with the Program team and may interface with customers on technical presentations and reviews.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5–10 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college.
• Must have 5-10 years of related experience.
• Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required.
• Airline travel must be acceptable.
• Background permitting U.S. DoD to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such clearance.

Responsibilities

• Follow current TE development processes.
• Participate in process improvement activities including process generation, checklists and data analysis.
• Perform tasks according to budget and schedule.
• Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Prepare technical status reports, as required.
• Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required.
• Design portions of electronic test equipment for in-house use and customer applications.
• Interface with customers including inputs to technical presentations and reviews.
• Develop and debug Test Programs Sets (TPSs) for production hardware using LabView and LabWindows.
• Contribute to SPC, CpK analysis tools and features.
• Provide technical support to other engineering disciplines and production for release of test methods.
• Participate in integration, verification and validation of test equipment.
• Maintain equipment in factory and field installations.
• Prepare engineering changes and status reports.
• Provide inputs to metrics for reporting to management.
• Provide direction to Designers, Drafters and Technicians.
• Design electronic test equipment and systems including FATP development.
