Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Test Engineer to drive development testing on the shop floor and test cells across multiple PTO teams, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient test execution. You will manage test requirements for development engines, coordinate schedules, and report progress to leadership while upholding SQDC standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, operations, and support teams, focusing on safety, quality, and cost control throughout the test phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Design Engineering.
• U.S. work authorization required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Responsibilities

• Enforce and analyze operations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage test requirements for development engines.
• Oversee cost and schedule of assigned engines.
• Daily interface with site support, assembly, instrumentation, evaluation, systems, test, engineering design, materials/fulfillment, tooling and project personnel, and hourly workforce.
• Coordinate activities to schedule and execute engines focusing on integrity, safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives.
• Refine and validate testing processes, data systems, facilities and procedures for safety and quality.
• Provide engine status briefings to senior leadership.
• Coordinate with customers and leadership to ensure milestones are met on time and on budget.
• Ensure engine test setups conform to latest quality and FAA regulations; sign test site conformities (8130-9).
• Create and manage the engine test schedule through development.
• Deliver results using a Flight Deck approach in a dynamic environment.
