Job summary

Van Kaizen is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer for its LA Metro team focusing on avionics. This on-site role is based at the Torrance location and requires US Person status.

You will drive hardware tests from prototype to production, coordinating across electrical, mechanical, and software teams. The candidate will design automated test setups, develop ATE, and validate performance across power, RF, digital interfaces, and motion control domains, ensuring robust test coverage for flight avionics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related.
  • Experience testing high-power subsystems, high-speed digital interfaces, actuators, or RF hardware.
  • Hands-on experience developing automated test equipment using instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, switch matrices, network analyzers, etc.
  • Familiarity with embedded control systems and interfaces (CAN, RS-422/485, SPI, Ethernet)
  • Experience with instrumentation control and data acquisition (Python, C++, protobufs, scripting)
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional test integration

A manufacturing leader in defense systems is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to join their rapidly growing team in the LA Metro focusing on avionics.

To note: this is an on-site role to their beautiful Torrence location and this candidate needs to be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).
