Job summary

Palomar Products is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support the development of secure communication systems and automated test equipment. You will work across R&D, system integration, test development, and qualification activities within an Agile environment.

The role requires leading test activities, defining requirements, and building test fixtures for system integration. A Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience and LabVIEW expertise are expected.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline
• Six or more years of relevant engineering experience with strong experience developing automated test systems using LabVIEW
• Experience with complex test equipment including oscilloscopes, audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and DMMs
• Knowledge of environmental, electromagnetic, and aging verification testing, with basic soldering and assembly skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the confidence to work independently and mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Defining, documenting, and analyzing test requirements with multidisciplinary Engineering teams
• Developing comprehensive test plans, procedures, reports, and comparative analysis documentation
• Performing detailed system and qualification testing while identifying and resolving functional issues
• Designing and building engineering and production test fixtures for system integration and automated testing
• Supporting reliability programs, quality standards, software debugging, and the resolution of complex technical problems
