Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a Senior Specialist, Test Engineer to design and implement automated test systems for manufacturing, engineering development, and certification of safety-critical avionics products. You will lead test projects from concept through deployment, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and meeting quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of related experience programming in C.
  • 4+ years of experience in product testing, automated test systems, or related engineering functions.
  • Experience working with digital electronic circuits.
  • Proficiency with NI TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and IEEE-488 (GPIB) controllers/drivers.
  • Familiarity with environmental test equipment and temperature chambers.
  • Experience with avionics protocols: ARINC 429, ARINC 717, MIL-STD-1553, I2C, RS-232, RS-422.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Conduct peer reviews of software and requirements documentation.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product reliability and test efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace and company standards.

Senior Specialist, Test Engineer

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing automated test systems used for manufacturing, engineering development, and product certification of safety-critical avionics products. You will lead test system projects from concept through deployment, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and performance expectations.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge avionics technologies while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with L-band high-power pulsed transmitters and receivers.
  • Experience with RF test equipment and automated RF test systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise debugging and optimizing complex C software applications.
  • Aerospace, avionics, or safety-critical systems experience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
