Job Title: Senior Test EngineerJob Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: NoneEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Continental US* * *The Opportunity:Work on various programs dedicated to supporting the war fighter.Contribute to and improve engineering processesDevelop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirementsUnderstand the software life-cycle management and toolsTravel onsite to periodically test operational systems and updatesResponsibilities:Work directly with software engineers and project leadsAnalyze requirements and technical documents, and respond to the team with questions and insightsConstruct test scenarios, test cases, and detailed procedures and verifications, connecting these with requirements and driving more testable codeExecute tests and report resultsUnderstand, build, and document environments needed for testingResearch, design, and build automation to streamline various testing needsWork on small teams in an agile software development life cycle to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systemsRefine and enhance existing test cases and applications to best meet requirement verification and improve operational performanceApply system level knowledge (software, OS, and hardware) and tools to diagnose and describe issuesQualifications:Required:Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceMinimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in software developmentRequired SkillsMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to acquire Security ClearanceUse of AWS, Kubernetes deployments, or other container technology like DockerUse and experience of Linux debugging and diagnostic toolsScripting experience in bash, python, or other relevant languageUnderstanding of distributed systems and networkingDedication to Test Engineering methods and techniquesUnderstanding of software, automation, and toolsFamiliar with basic concepts of API testing and associated technologies (rest, json, etc.)Desired:Active TS/SCI ClearanceDemonstrable experience with source control (git)Familiarity with one or more non-UI test automation frameworksExperience developing automation in an Agile team (scrum, kanban)Demonstrable experience with UI automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar)Competency in one or more OO languages (Python, Java)Understanding of Linux security and auditingKnowledge of compiled languagesFamiliar with continuous integration tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo or similar)Familiar with server hardware administration and maintenance (RAID, PCIe, IPMI)Basic competency with relational databases (mysql, postres)-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
