Job summary

ABM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Test and Balance Technician to support testing, adjusting, and balancing operations at a semiconductor and chemical manufacturing facility. The role ensures air systems meet operational requirements and ABM safety standards.

Candidates must be union members of Local Union 359 or willing to join, have NEBB or TABB certification, 5+ years of T&B experience, and be able to work evenings or weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in testing and balancing.
• NEBB or TABB certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a current Union member or willing to join upon hire.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Able to work safely in a chemical manufacturing and semiconductor facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing work in a semiconductor and chemical facility.
• Maintain system and equipment balance during installations and deinstallations.
• Troubleshoot air requirements when designs or specs are not met.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA 30 fundamentals on site.
• Read and follow work plans, instructions, and scope documents.
• Identify deviations and communicate concerns before proceeding.
• Work with other T&B technicians, apprentices, and customer representatives.
• Support a team culture focused on safety, accountability, and quality workmanship.
• Adhere to ABM policies and site requirements; ensure emergency coverage as needed.
• Complete preventive and reactive maintenance as required.
• Maintain professional conduct and safe working environment daily.
