Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for complex applications. You will partner with software engineering, product, and other teams to drive test strategies and improve quality across the testing lifecycle.

The role requires deep technical skills in UI/API test automation, modern frameworks, and experience mentoring others. Remote-friendly with on-site flexibility and a focus on shift-left quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in software development/QA related field.
• Degree in Software Engineering/CS preferred.
• Ability to work independently on high-visibility programs.
• Experience mentoring staff and guiding teams.

Responsibilities

• Define automation test strategy for products and major components.
• Design and maintain UI, API, and integration test frameworks.
• Create and analyze complex test scenarios and communicate results.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify test gaps and improvements.
• Provide technical leadership within quality/testing domain.
