The role requires 8–10 years of testing/SDET experience, strong REST API and backend testing, and hands-on skills in Java, Cucumber, Karate, and JMeter.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in software testing/SDET roles.
• Strong hands-on Java programming experience.
• Designing and developing automation frameworks using Java.
• Strong REST API and backend testing experience.
• UI automation and functional testing.
• Good understanding of BDD frameworks and Cucumber.
• Karate or REST Assured experience.
• Independently develop test strategies, test plans and automation solutions.
• Own features from testing strategy through execution and maintenance.
• Mentor junior team members and conduct PR reviews.
• Willingness to attend the second interview onsite in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Develop test automation code for CI/CD of systems, infrastructure, and test framework.
• Plan, design, develop, and maintain API test automation framework for scripting, execution, and results analysis.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for test engineers on multiple projects; train team members to create and maintain automated regression suites.
• Coordinate with product owner to resolve issues and understand functionality needs.
• Develop automated functional scripts using Java, Karate, JMeter.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing as appropriate.
• Share expertise in testing methodologies, best practices, and standards.
