Job summary

Molecular Devices, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Test Automation to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for high-content imaging software in a 100% on-site Downingtown, PA role.

You will collaborate with software and QA teams, build reusable test frameworks, and drive automation initiatives to improve release readiness and quality. A Bachelor's in CS/SE and 5+ years of automation are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of software dev or test automation experience.
• Demonstrated test automation expertise with Cypress or equivalent and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring build health.
• Proficiency with Git, package management and build tools such as npm; knowledge of REST-based apps.
• Ability to solve complex problems, lead initiatives, and communicate clearly across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, debug, and maintain automated end-to-end tests for imaging software using Cypress.
• Develop reusable test frameworks and automate workflows spanning multiple products.
• Monitor CI/CD pipelines, diagnose failures, and improve test reliability and coverage.
• Translate product risks into automated test designs and backlog stories.
• Lead automation initiatives and mentor colleagues on automation practices.
