Job summary

Procentrix is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for a large federal government solution, collaborating with developers, QA, and product owners.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in IT development, a related degree, strong testing and automation skills, and the ability to work in an agile team. U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field is required.
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience writing automated tests in Microsoft Power Platform environment.
• Strong understanding of software development principles.
• Ability to work independently and in agile teams.
• Must pass federal background investigation; United States Citizenship is required.
• Experience with CI/CD and testing tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Playwright, Jenkins, Selenium).
• Experience with SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Experience supporting federal government customers.

Job description

The Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks in support of a large, complex federal government solution. They work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and product owners to identify test requirements and create comprehensive test plans.

Preference will be given to candidates local to the DC Metro area. The projected compensation range for this position is $120K to $140K (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.

Required Skills

• 6 years of relevant IT development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
• Hands-on experience with various testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
• Hands-on experience writing, executing, and analyzing/reporting results of automated tests in a Microsoft PowerPlatformenvironment and related technolofies.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of of an agile team
• Possess strong analytical and technical skills and is capable of assisting in various areas of business solutions implementation and integration.
• Must be able to successfully complete the federal background investigation.
