Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation frameworks across complex healthcare systems. The role leads automation efforts across multiple projects, mentoring peers, and migrating assets from legacy frameworks to AI-augmented platforms.

Responsibilities include defining automation strategies, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring HIPAA/compliance alignment while expanding coverage for API, UI, and backend testing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software testing, including at least 5 years in automation.
• Hands-on Selenium-based automation with Java.
• Proficient with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Strong programming in Java, TypeScript, and Python.
• Git with Bitbucket and experience in CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Agile methods.
• Experience leading automation initiatives in enterprise/healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level test automation frameworks.
• Define automation strategies, standards, and best practices for QA teams and integrate into pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior automation engineers.
• Develop reusable components and libraries to improve efficiency of test assets.
• Analyze and troubleshoot automation failures and identify root causes.
• Collaborate on test planning, estimation, and QA strategy.
• Evaluate automation tools aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Track and report automation progress and metrics to QA leadership.
• Ensure alignment with HIPAA and healthcare data security requirements.
• Collaborate to extend automation coverage across API, UI, batch, and backend testing.
• Lead migration of suites from Selenium-based frameworks to Playwright with coverage continuity.
• Extend scaffolding to build new test cases for changing requirements.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation with human review gates.
• Read and adhere to corporate policies including HIPAA.
